This is an English translation of our Turkish policy. If the two versions differ, the Turkish version prevails.

1. Who is the data controller?
Under Turkey’s Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (“KVKK”), the data controller is:

2. What data do we process on this site, and why?
Nothing is sold and no payments are taken on drkalan.com. Distance-sales terms and cancellation and return conditions for our products are published on our shop site, drkalannatural.com. The personal data processed on this site is limited to the following:
a) Answers to the temperament test
In the free temperament test you answer questions about things such as your build, how warm or cold you feel, your skin, sleep and digestion. Some of these answers count as special-category personal data (health data) under Article 6 of the KVKK.
The test runs in your browser. Your answers are not sent to our servers and are not recorded by us; your result is calculated on your device and shown on screen. When you leave the page, your answers are gone. You do not need to give your name, email or any other personal information to complete the test.
b) Contacting us
When you reach us by WhatsApp, phone or email, the name, contact details and message you send are processed only to answer your request. Legal basis: KVKK Art. 5/2-f (the data controller’s legitimate interest). If you choose to write on WhatsApp, the conversation is subject to the terms and privacy policy of WhatsApp (Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd.).
c) Newsletter / email list
The email signup form currently appears only on the Turkish version of the test. If you sign up there and approve the information notice, your email address and the name of your test result (for example “Safravi”) are added to our email list so that we can send you content and commercial messages suited to your temperament. Apart from the name of the result, your individual answers are not recorded.
Legal basis: your explicit consent and Law No. 6563. Signing up is entirely optional. You can withdraw your consent at any time using the link at the bottom of every message or by writing to info@drkalan.com.
d) Technical logs and cookies
IP address, browser and device information, pages visited and cookie records are processed to keep the site secure and to measure visit statistics. Non-essential cookies run only if you consent in the cookie notice. See our Cookie policy for details.
3. Sharing of data
Your personal data may be shared with the following service providers so that the service can be provided:
- Our hosting provider — to run and back up the site (Türkiye).
- The Rocket Science Group LLC (Intuit Mailchimp) — to manage the email list and send newsletters (USA). It receives only the data in section c), and only if you consent.
- Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. (WhatsApp) — only if you choose to write to us on WhatsApp, so that the conversation can take place (Ireland / USA).
Because some of these services are provided abroad, the relevant data is transferred abroad under KVKK Art. 9. For newsletter signup and non-essential cookies, this transfer happens only with your explicit consent.
Data may also be shared with legally authorised public bodies, in the cases and within the limits set by law.
4. How long we keep data
- Test answers: not kept. They exist only in your browser while you are on the page.
- Newsletter records (email address and result name): until you withdraw consent. Consent records are kept for a further 3 years as required by law.
- Contact records: 2 years from the close of the request.
- Technical security logs: 1 year.
5. Your rights (KVKK Art. 11)
Regarding your personal data, you have the right to learn whether it is processed; to request information; to learn the purpose of processing and whether it is used for that purpose; to know the third parties in Türkiye or abroad to whom it is transferred; to ask for it to be corrected if incomplete or wrong; to ask for it to be deleted or destroyed; to ask that these actions be notified to the third parties it was transferred to; to object to a result against you arising solely from automated analysis; and to claim compensation if you suffer damage.
6. How to make a request
You can send requests by email to info@drkalan.com or in writing to the address above. Your request will be concluded within 30 days at the latest. We may ask for additional information to verify your identity.
7. Security measures
The site is served encrypted over HTTPS, access to the admin panel is restricted and regular backups are made. Because test answers are never sent to the server, no health data is held on our servers.
8. Changes
This text may be updated because of changes in the law or in how the site works. The current version is published on this page and the date above is updated.
