Your temperament is inborn and changes slowly. But which humour is rising right now depends on the season, your diet, your sleep and your stress. This test asks about that, and it is meant to be taken again each time the season turns.
30 signs, about 3 minutes
The signs come from the book’s chapters on the signs of excess of each humour
The result is read in the light of your temperament
This test is not a diagnosis; it gives a traditional-medicine reading of your signs. For ongoing or serious complaints, see your doctor.
Step 1
What is your temperament?
The same sign means different things depending on your temperament. A slight rise in phlegm is normal for a Balgami person; for a Safravi person the same rise is a real imbalance.
The lists of signs come from the chapters on signs of excess in the book Human Temperaments and Healthy Nutrition (Farzollah Gholizadeh & Fariba Bayrami). We suggest taking the test again when the season changes. It is not a medical diagnosis or treatment.
